EXCLUSIVE: Here is why the Pope resigns (PHOTO)

Pope Benedict XVI announced today that on February 28th, he will withdraw from office. He is the first pope that has made this decision after 600 years. Media speculations have already begun what is the real reason for his withdrawal. While proponents of conspiracy theories believe that this is an "unholy work forced by the powers of darkness and insanity," Parade reveals the real reason why the Holy Father Benedict freely decided to abdicate the Diocese of Rome that he had been entrusted by Cardinals on 19th April 2005.

- Having reviewed the conscience before God, I realized that my going out on Twitter and Facebook was a key moment to realize that it is very difficult to be the Pope and Twitter and Facebook user at the same time. So I vowed, that If I collect million and half followers or likes, I will withdraw or from Twitter and Facebook, either from the papal chair. And so, I will do as I told, Benedict said for „Joke daily”, without specifying whether he will continue using the same name on the social networks, or will add the famous “ex”.

Pope has already amassed million and a half followers on Twitter on 10th February, and the next day he announced his retirement. He has not commented the likes.
