Jelena Dokić je bila u vrhu svetskog tenisa devedestih godina, kada je dospela do 4. mesta na WTA listi. Usponi i padovi su se ređali, ali posle toga nije više imala nikakvog napretka.

To je odvelo u drugu stranu. Iako je pokušavala da se vrati bezuspešno tenisu, depresija i stres su je "pojeli" pa se razbolela i ona se za godinu dana ugojila 60 kilograma i od vitke devojke došla do 120 kg telesne mase.

Sada je na putu da se vrati na pređašnji nivom jer je smršala 30 kg.

- Moja težina se tačno duplirala u odnosu na onu koju sam imala kada sam igrala tenis. Nisam mogla radim ništa od stvari koje volim. Nisam mogla da trčim, da igram tenis, da skačem, trčim uz stepenice, a sve to najviše zbog problema sa štitnom žlezdom.

- Na početku oporavka morala samo da hodam. U početku blagim uzbrdicama. Dugo nisam imala nikakvu intenzivnu fizičku aktivnost. Trebalo je mnogo vremena da prođe dok nisam izgubila 15 kila i onda mogla da počnem da lagano trčim.

    Da si slušala ćaleta još si mogla biti među prvi 10, sa 100miliona u džepu i 60kg. Ovako ništa od toga. Ćale je ćale I kad greši a greši manje od ostali...
