Djokovic survived the hell of a 1st round at US Open: Serb stronger than stomach problems and tricky Hungarian!
Novak Djokovic advanced to the second round of US Open after a difficult and exhausting match where he eliminated the Hungarian Marton Fucsovics with 3:1 in sets (6:3, 3:6, 6:4, 6:0).

It was the first duel of two players, and little did anyone expect that the 41st player of the world will give such a hard time to Djokovic, who had health problems since he had a stomach ache during the second set when he wasn't himself and he lost the set.
Novak relatively quickly recovered.
Djokovic was frustrated during the second match, and he received a warning from the referee, after which he lost a break and a set. Serbian tennis player asked for a medical time-out, and he took a pill to solve stomach problems, but it didn't work immediately.
The third set was crucial since he suffered the break-point at the start and it seemed that the car is going downhill for the Serbian tennis player. Fucsovics saved his advantage up to 4:3, but he mentally gave in and a champion like Djokovic didn't miss such an opportunity. He won three gems and won the third set with 6:4.
It was clear that the fourth set will be just to "finish the job", and that is what happened since Novak easily won with 6:0.
The heat and rough conditions troubled both players, but the main favorite for the title of US Open managed to overcome the crisis and to survive the hell on the court in the first round.
Tennys Sandgren will be his next opponent. He played with him once in his career on Wimbledon this year, where Serb won with 3:0.
Let's recall how Novak entered history:
