The demarcation between Serbia and Kosovo is the next condition on the road to the EU: Will KFOR mark the border?
Some Kosovo media claim that KFOR has determined the border between Kosovo and Serbia in the village of Karacevo near Kosovska Kamenica, despite the opposition of the local population
It is expected that the demarcation of the border between Kosovo and Serbia will be the next condition of the European Union in the process of European integration, writes Koha Ditore.
Some Kosovo media say KFOR has determined the border between Kosovo and Serbia in the village of Karacevo near Kosovska Kamenica, despite the opposition of the local population.
It was stated from KFOR that they only replaced some damaged signs which are used by the members of international forces and the civilian missions of the United Nations to point out the proximity of the border with Serbia.
It is stated that KFOR does not draw borders and that the replacement of signs along the administrative border has nothing to do with borderline placement, and that the signs were always in the same place.
The Mayor of Kosovska Kamenica, Cendron Kastrati, said that the population was worried about the KFOR action because it was not announced.
The locals expressed concern about the possibility that the signs are placed in order to determine the border line with Serbia, because, in that case, their properties would become a part of Serbia.
