Kosovo will agree to reconcile with Serbia in exchange for recognition: Haradinaj is provoking, Vulin expressly answered
Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj says that Pristina, in exchange for independence, will agree to reconcile with Belgrade, RTK2 reports.
- Recognition... what can Kosovo give for the achievement of this agreement? Reconciliation, because we have nothing else to give. Reconciliation is not little, that means forgetting about our pain, the missing, the murdered, the damage, the victims of sexual violence, destroyed and robbed economy, and when we reconcile, we give a lot, a lot more than anyone will ever give - Haradinaj.
He added that that doesn't mean to forget the crimes.
- We don't say that we should forget, we will never forget, but we can reconcile at some time, for that recognition. Is it this year? I can't say, but we asked for help from our friends and I say that when Kosovo is behind America, it does so for its own interests - Haradinaj said.
He also claims that Kosovo should become the member of Interpol in this year.
- Each country that prevents Kosovo from becoming a member of Interpol is helping the fight against crime on a transnational level. That is wrong. Who wants to fight against transnational crime, he helps Kosovo to join Interpol. This is the year when this question needs to be solved. I am deeply convinced that many countries will ask for Kosovo membership in Interpol because that is how they fight the transnational crime, which is dangerous and presents a threat - Haradinaj said, reports RTK2.
He said that he asked the friendly states to help Kosovo become a member of Interpol.
Haradinaj spoke about the membership in UN, which is a question that has to be "closed as soon as possible", according to him.
The minister of defense Aleksandar Vulin asked him a question, in reaction to these statements: "Did you think about that on your own, or did someone help you?"
- First, you raped and murdered women and children, you burned villages, you robbed properties, you murdered police officers and soldiers. You banished 250.000 people from their homestead, you destroyed dozens of churches and monasteries, you tried to illegally take over the part of Serbia, you have broken every promise that you gave in Brussels dialogue, and you now remembered to ask from Serbia to accept all of that, to recognize and to ask for reconciliation for the conflict that we didn't cause or ask for - Vulin said, reacting to Haradinaj's words.
