Panic in Croatia! The first case of Measles recorded, the young man was on Kosovo
A patient with symptoms like smallpox was admitted to the General Hospital in Dubrovnik on Friday. Because of suspicion of measles, the young man was hospitalized, and the Croatian public is panicking because of the fear of the outbreak of the epidemic.
The Croatian Public Health Institute confirmed that on Friday they admitted a man (34) from Stone with the measles.
- We will know the results of the analysis tomorrow or at least the day after tomorrow. Epidemiological contact processing is in progress. We invite all parents to check the status of their child's vaccines and if they have missed some vaccination, they must be obliged to report to the competent school doctor or pediatrician - they say in this institution.
According to unofficial information, the patient feels good and he is isolated, and he reportedly spent several days in Kosovo.
Measles recently appeared in Mostar, and in Croatia, the biggest concern is in Dubrovnik, because it is the least vaccinated part of the country.
