Finally, someone explained to the viewers why are the Albanians insulted when the Serbs call them Shiptars, although they call themselves like that.

In the "After Lunch" show that Vanja Bulic led on Happy television, the answer was given by Nedzat Beljuji, the owner of the television in Bujanovac, who also discovered how are Albanians calling Serbs. 

In the show whose theme was "Great Serbia and Great Albania", a viewer called and she asked what the most Serbs were asking. 

- I was born in Kosovo, I graduated from a school in Kosovo, I had friends, we went to the dances. I had a Shiptar professor, Shiptars taught us physics and math, we visited each other, we went to Eid al-Adha, they came to our holidays. I still have friends there although I don't live there, it is terribly strange to me why are they insulted by the word Shiptar. We always said it with respect, and no one ever said Albanians, they were all saying Shiptars - she said.

Beljuji explained that no Serb can pronounce correctly the name Shiptar because there is no real E in our alphabet with two dots that is specifically pronounced, and the word Shiptar sounds differently when an Albanian says it. That is actually the reason why are Albanians offended when we call them Shiptar.

- No Serb can pronounce that word because we have the word E with two dots and we use the same letter in twice in the word ShiptAr. You can't say it because you don't have that letter in your alphabet. And know once and for all, that it is a classic insult for every Albanian if you say it short Shiptar - Buljaji said.

He revealed that Albanians have an insulting word for Serbs they use among themselves - Shakvel:

- When you translate Serb to the Albanian it's Shavel, approximately, and we always use that with a resonance of insults.
