Montenegrins are sending two officers to KFOR's mission to Kosovo: This was the response to the question how will Serbia react

Montenegro will send two officers to the KFOR Mission by the end of the year and increase the participation of its soldiers in Afghanistan, defense minister Predrag Boskovic announced in a statement to Voice of America.

Boskovic, who is on an official visit to the United States, has specified that Montenegro will send an officer to KFOR headquarters in Pristina and that the other will be in charge of the office in Skopje.

Asked how Serbia would react to this, Boskovic said that Montenegro is a member of NATO and "follows its interests" and that it "understands the policy of military neutrality" conducted by the official Belgrade.

Boskovic confirmed that the Council for Defense and Security has decided to increase the number of soldiers in the NATO ISAF mission in Afghanistan from the 18 so far.

Boskovic did not specify how much Montenegro participated in that mission and Montenegro activated a total of 418 soldiers in eight years in sixteen contingents.

Government's decision should be confirmed by the Assembly in the coming months.
