CROATS CLAIM that they saw a document which states when will SERBIA JOIN EU

"Jutarnji List" states that they saw the classified document which should be adopted by the European Commission soon, and the membership of Serbia is mentioned.

As the Croatian newspaper writes, the EU will, as a condition, set the solution of open discussion about the borders between Croatia and Serbia, but also Croatia and Montenegro. These issues should be solved, as stated by "Jutarnji", until 2023, and that is a condition for Serbia and Montenegro to conclude the negotiations about the EU membership and become the full pledged members until the end of 2025.

The document is actually a European Commission strategy entitled "The credible prospect of enlargement for the Western Balkans" which states that EU doesn't want to import the disputes between the regional states.

This draft is still classified document and the final version should be adopted in February next year, as announced by the president of the EC in this year's speech about the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
