GOLD VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS: Serbia won against Netherlands and became the champion of Europe!
Female volleyball national team of Serbia won the gold medal in the European Championship in Azerbaijan!
Serbs defeated Netherlands 3:1 (25:20, 25:22, 18:25, 25:18) and won the second title in the history of our volleyball.
Zoran Terzic chosen girls reached the fourth medal in a row from the three largest competitions, after the bronze medal from the European championship in 2015 and Olympic silver 2016.
Our girls played great in the first two sets where they dominated and held the advantage of 3 to 5 points.
They had a slight drop in the third which Dutch used and won the set. However, the quality of our team prevailed.
After the initial tie, the volleyball players of Serbia took the lead with 13:19, and then 16:11, and announced the gold medal!
So they continued to bomb the rivals and swept them off of the field.
The chosen girls of Zoran Terzic, led by the phenomenal Tijana Boskovic who had 28 points, came with impressive 6 wins to the second title in their history, after the first in Belgrade 2011, with just 2 lost sets.
Turkey won the bronze medal, who won against the team of Azerbaijan for the third place.
