The Supreme Court of the Republic of Croatia rejected Ismail Morina's appeal against the first instance decision. It has been established that the conditions for extradition to the Republic of Serbia have been fulfilled. The decision of the Croatian Minister of Justice is still expected.

To recall, the Council of Supreme Court abolished the decision to extradite Albanian citizen Ismail Morin to Serbia in early August. Serbia is searching for him because he caused riots on the football match between Serbia and Albania in 2014.

The case was referred to the court of the first instance, the Dubrovnik County Court, for re-decision, reports N1.

Serbia charges him of steering a drone three years ago which carried nationalistic features with a map of the so-called Greater Albania, interrupting a football match between the Serbian and Albanian national teams in Belgrade.

By the first instance verdict, the County Court in Dubrovnik found that all the legal requirements for Morina's extradition to Serbia were met, and Morina was appealing to that court decision.

Morina's lawyer complained about "the wrong and incomplete factual state, the violation of the regulations, the misapplication of the material law, and the misapplication of the sanction" and proposed "to abolish and reverse the first instance decision or to abolish it and return the case to the first instance body to re-decide."

The Supreme Court rejected the appeal as unfounded.
