Serbia in shock: Dragana and Zeljko jumped under a train while holding hands. She died on the spot and doctors are fighting for his life!

A freight train on the Ruma-Brasina railway killed Dragana Vasic (25) from Straza, severely injuring Zeljko Lazarevic (24) from Novo Selo and making minor injuries to a minor girl, as "Novosti" found out. The accident happened near village Straza, in Loznica area, 20 minutes after midnight.

We were told in the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Loznica that they had come to the information that "two young people agreed to stand together in front of a freight train, directly on a railway, which they did". Zoran Nestorovic, acting prosecutor of The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Loznica said that the autopsy was ordered for the dead girl and that the young man in serious condition was transferred to Loznica General Hospital. All the circumstances are being determined.

- The patient was admitted to Emergency center of our facility in the intensive care department around three hours after midnight - said Dragana Vasiljevic, spokeswoman for General Hospital in Loznica.

- He is not in life danger. They are orthopedic injuries, there are two fractures. We are working to diagnose his condition, to determine what needs to be done for his proper and complete care. 

An underage girl also received minor injuries who was not on the rail with Dragana and Zeljko, but close to the railway. There is no complete information how she was injured, but that is being investigated.
