Serbian citizen Hasan Abdula Al-Sattaf, born in Syria, has been trapped on the border of that country for 19 days, because they won't let him cross the border from the Turkish side. After problems of proving his dual citizenship, he officially received the answer from Turkish ambassador that he can not cross the border. His daughter informed us about everything, and she got a promise from our Minister of Foreign Affairs that they will do anything to solve the problem.

As Zina Al-Sattaf told us, Hasan Abdula Al-Sattaf was born in Rakka, current ISIS stronghold, and coming from a wealthy family, he could chose where he wanted to study in Europe.

Yugoslavia was widely known in the eighties and it was not unusual that he decided to study dentistry right here. During the studies he meets Zina's mother and he marries her in 1985.

- Citizenship wasn't important to him considering that he applied few years later and he got it in 2006 - reveals Zina.

His father has been in his birth place Syria for three years in order to settle the properties with his two brothers, to sell his inheritance and to provide for his family in Serbia.

- When my father went to Rakka, there was no self-proclaimed caliphate yet, however, war spread the country and he had to move away. He managed to escape ISIS.

- After preventing him to cross the border, they asked him to contact the consul in Ankara and to send them a letter guaranteeing that he is Serbian citizen. Our ambassador in Ankara printed it, signed it and sent a copy to my dad, to the border and to Turkish Foreign minister - said desperate Zina who has been worrying for her father for days.

Final verdict should be reached by Turkish Foreign Ministry, which didn't approve it. Serbian embassy received a negative response yesterday. Shaken Zina asked our ministry of foreign affairs what to do next.

- They told me: "We don't know, he could try going different way".

I was shocked because he is 75 years old, he takes a lot of medications because he is a long time diabetic and as such, its hardly imaginable that he is a threat to anyone. And they offered him no help at all there.

We still didn't get any answer what will they do from our ministry regarding this case.
