Nina has Down's syndrome and doctors told her parents to write her off: She now reveals the magical cure to everybody (PHOTO) (VIDEO)
Girl with Down syndrome, Nina Kostovska from Tetovo, the student is the fourth year the Macedonian language and literature at the FON University in Skopje, where she won at the oratorical evening last week with her emotional speech.
In a crowded amphitheater, without hesitation, told everybody that the doctors, when she was born, told her parents that they can't find medicine for her no where in the world, for no amount of money, and the best is to write her off. My parents didn't want to settle with that knowledge, so they started treating their child on their own hand.
- My parents wanted to try an old medicine. Instead of writing me off, they enrolled me in regular school. I was getting medicine regularly and it worked. It has to be taken every day, and i got it all eight years in elementary and four years in high school. Mother, father and brother never missed a day to give it to me - she said and added:
- Sometimes they gave me medicine every hour, sometimes every minute. And here i am, on fourth year of college. Without medicine everything is lost. Without it i am decrepit. The medicine activates the 90 percent of the brain which is not used, and pauses those 10% used by people - explains Nina.
It is the same medicine Pepe, president of Uruguay, used in his three legged dog. It is the same medicine parents of Nik Vujicic used on him, the man with no arms or legs, it is the same medicine Mother Theresa used on lepers.
- My father was a pharmacist, and my mother is a psychologist. They have created a drug that consists of unconditional love and unconditional support. It's so simple, but not inconceivable, but it is very effective. Even if the whole world tells you that your child is done for, never write it off, it will catch up - Nina said in her victory speech at the oratorical evening.
Macedonian public met Nina Kostovska in the video "How will you react if you are served by pharmaceutical technician with Down syndrome" in the campaign of European Union and UNICEF "Be fair to childhood without interference".
When she was born, doctors wrote her off, and she is training teachers and professors in Skopje, Stip and Bitola how to deal with children with disabilities. She will do this in other cities of Macedonia.
As a winner of the evening oratory evening, Nina was given free post-graduate studies at the University Fon, but has not yet decided what will she take for the master's thesis.
