Brnabic condemns attack on Dean Drid: All those who participated in rampage must be held accountable

President of the National Assembly Ana Brnabic condemned today's attack on the dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education (DIF) in Novi Sad, Patrik Drid, and said that everyone who participates in "rampages" in Serbia must be held accountable.
"I am appalled and astonished by the violence, the sadistic, inhuman rampage in Novi Sad, perpetrated by the 'blockaders' against Professor Drid. Let's go through it again - who wants to live in a country like this? Who wants Serbia to become a country where crazed thugs lynch people in the street and rejoice because someone got injured? What kind of people are those who block an ambulance transporting an injured person, whatever they think of them?"
"At the same time as they attacked Professor Drid in Novi Sad, because he joined the state faculty as a dean, the 'blockaders' broke into the Nis Clinical Center in order to physically stop students from the Faculty of Medicine from attending clinical courses and treating people. Monstrous. Everyone who participates in such mindless rampages on the streets of Serbia must be held accountable. Stop the violence," Brnabic wrote on X.
Students organizing and taking part in the blockades and citizens who join them gathered today in front of the DIF building in Novi Sad to prevent the dean and professors from entering their workplace, and threw eggs and water at the police who were trying to help them get into the building.
The crowd chased Dean Drid, dragged him by his clothes, and threw water and eggs at him and the officers.
