Man commits suicide by driving into Sava River, believing he had killed a cyclist he hit with his car

A video taken in Kupinovo, showing a man sitting in his car sinking into the Sava River, with no intention of trying to save himself, has disturbed Serbia.

This is what passers-by allegedly witnessed. A sinking car was filmed, and to make matters worse, there was someone in it.

According to available information, the man who died in the car was Blagoje from Kupinovo. This unfolded after he hit his neighbor Pera, who was riding a bicycle, with his car.

After the incident, Blagoje was convinced he had killed his neighbor, and then decided to deliberately drive his vehicle into the Sava and kill himself. Unfortunately, he succeeded in that, Blic writes.

What makes the story even more tragic is the fact that the neighbor was not even injured, and this was confirmed by the locals.

"The driver had a little to drink and hit his neighbor. The bike did fall apart, but the man was unharmed. There wasn't even any need to call the ambulance. The driver thought he had killed the cyclist, so he drove into the Sava, and then drowned...," says an eyewitness.

A video of a sinking car, with the driver inside, has appeared on social networks.

People who were on the river's bank were shouting at him to open the door and get out to save himself. However, what everyone feared was exactly what happened.
