A group of students and citizens taking part in blockades continue to surround Radio and Television of Serbia (RTS) buildings in Takovska Street and in Kosutnjak for the tenth day, preventing employees from coming to work.

RTS announced that because of the blockades, for the first time, it did not broadcast live a memorial service dedicated to the 16 RTS employees killed by NATO airstrikes 26 years ago.

The streets around RTS are blocked for traffic - Takovska from Kneza Milosa to Svetogorska, part of Ilije Garasanina, Majora Tepica, as well as Aberdareva.

The intersection of Takovska and Svetogorska, as well as the intersection of Svetogorska and Ilije Garasanina are still blocked with dumpsters, that are also placed in Takovska Street near the RTS building and the Main Post Office.

Because of the blockade of the public service's building in Kosutnjak, traffic is suspended in Kneza Viseslava Street.

RTS is broadcasting according to a modified schedule, and announced that the employees create and broadcast programs with great difficultly, despite the illegal blockade of the buildings, studios, broadcasting and other equipment, and the acts against journalists and camera crews in the field.

The public media service is once again not broadcasting its morning program today.

Because of the blockade, RTS submitted a complaint to the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade against unknown persons, and requested a response from international institutions.

Students who have been blocking RTS since April 14 said they would continue "until a new competition for members of the Council of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM) is announced, or until RTS is shut down."
