Kurti's departure as turning point for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija? "Albanians have a big problem"

Former ambassador of Serbia to the EU Branko Brankovic, and Ljuban Karan, a former KOS (counter-intelligence service) operative, appeared on K1 TV his morning and analyzed the latest political events in Pristina, after the sudden resignation of Albin Kurti.
The constitutive session of the assembly in Pristina was interrupted yesterday before the mandates of the deputies could be confirmed, and the public remains without answers to some key questions: who blocked the formation of the Pristina parliament and why was the report of the mandate verification commission not adopted?
In addition, the question arises - can Kurti, with 52 parliamentary votes, put together a new government?
"Let's forget about Kurti - he is not his own man and he could not do anything independently, neither what he said nor what he did. All of this has political overtones. Europe no longer knows where it is or what it is. Now they want to ignite the situation in Kosovo, in order to extinguish it and thus show that they are still relevant and can do something. They are doing all of this to keep themselves in power - half of their governments have already fallen, and the other half is still holding on," said Brankovic and added:
"We have the so-called problem solving by Kaja Kallas, who stated that every country whose representatives attend the Victory Day celebration on May 9 will bear the consequences. On the other hand, she told us that we will not be allowed to join the EU. This is pure blackmail," he concluded.
Ljuban Karan believes that the authorities in Pristina have no say about anything.
"The Pristina authorities and political parties do not decide on anything. They do not have their own programs, nor do they need them. At one time, they themselves admitted that their program is defined by the US. The main influence and protector of Kosovo as a kind of para-state is the United States of America. In essence, this is a global conflict between the politics of Joseph Biden and Donald Trump," Karan pointed out.
"Donald Trump's first step, which is extremely important for Serbs and for Serbia, is to secure what was signed ten years ago - the Community of Serb Municipalities. In my opinion, this is exactly why Kurti is leaving power. However, in the background there are actually conflicts between political forces from abroad who no longer want Kurti as the head of government. And with his departure, Serbia is solving many problems," he said.
"Kurti came up with an idea that was accepted by the Western powers. Considering that international recognition of Kosovo cannot be achieved in a legal way - through a vote in the United Nations - he chose an approach, which he probably did not devise himself, which is to carry out ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. The goal is for the world public to see that there are no more Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, in order to make it seem that they (ethnic Albanians) have the right to self-determination," Karan assessed.
"We are doing what we can in Kosovo. A military solution on the part of Serbia is not possible there, that is why a strong diplomatic offensive was announced by our state leadership, which was led by the president, and in which Ivica Dacic also participated. On that occasion, extraordinary results were achieved. Today, we have such strong diplomatic ties with foreign statesmen that they now look at the situation in Kosovo and Metohija differently. Violence was the main weapon of Albin Kurti - and he does not renounce it," Karan said and commented on whether our people in Kosovo and Metohija would find a better common ground with Badri Hamza, who has been proposed as Kurti's replacement.
"I think the Albanians are aware that they have a big problem," Karan said.
