Dramatic video from Tuzla shows two policeman and a civilian struggling to stay on their feet in swollen river
A real drama took place in Tuzla, in Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Two policemen and another person were initially swept away by the swollen Jala river, while now a extensive search and rescue operation is underway for two people, writes Avaz.
In the wider area of the town of Tuzla, the search in ongoing two people who got swept away in tthe Jala river. It has been unofficially confirmed for Klix.ba from several sources that these are a civilian and a police officer.
Klix.ba has received confirmation from several sources that firefighters, emergency services and policemen, in a coordinated operation, managed to pull out one person from the bed of the river - one of the police officers.
The policeman, who was injured, has been transported to the University Clinical Center in Tuzla, while the competent services are still searching for his colleague and the civilian, filmed while struggling to stay on their feet in the torrential wave.
This case has caused distress among the residents of Tuzla. The local police are yet to officially comment on the incident.
