Dacic: Serbian people rebelled against Nazism and showed that freedom and justice have no price

Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that today, the Serbian people are marking one of the most significant dates in their political history, the rebellion against Nazism, the greatest evil in history.

"March 27, 1941 is one of the most significant and brightest dates in the political history of Serbia and the Serbian people. It is a unique event in world history. At that time, the entire continental Europe was subservient to Hitler. The Serbs were the only nation that rebelled against Nazism, the greatest evil in history," said the minister.

He stressed that the people, the Church, the Army, and the intellectuals unanimously showed that freedom and justice have no price.

"The whole nation, the Church, all intellectuals, the Army. They unanimously showed that for them the ideals of freedom and justice have no price. Just like in Kosovo in 1389, just like in 1999. That's why we must not forget that date, and constantly remind Europe that, unfortunately, history showed that those who sided with Hitler fared better than those who opposed him," Minister Dacic said.
