Vucic informs Sorensen about problems faced by Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today in Belgrade with the European Union's special representative for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Peter Sorensen, and on that occasion informed him about the problems faced by the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija.
"An open and fair first meeting with Mr. Sorensen, whom I informed about the problems faced by our people in Kosovo and Metohija. I expressed particular concern about the difficult position in which the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija find themselves due to numerous escalating, unilateral and violent moves by Pristina," Vucic said in a post on Instagram.
The president added that he also pointed to the constant obstructions that Pristina implements in the dialogue process and reiterated that the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO), after 12 years of Pristina's refusal to fulfill that obligation, is a prerequisite for the start of essential normalization of relations.
Vucic stressed the expectation that the EU will strengthen its engagement and maintain an impartial role in this process.
"I reiterated Serbia's position that only constructive dialogue and compromise solutions can contribute to long-term peace and stability in the Western Balkans," Vucic pointed out.
