President of the Serb Republic (RS) Milorad Dodik said last evening in Belgrade, during the commemoration of the Remembrance Day for the Victims of NATO Aggression in 1999, that the Serb people are still pained by the injustice done to them and the fact that no one has been held accountable for it, stressing that it (March 24, the start of the attacks) is one of those days that will never be forgotten and will never stop hurting.

Dodik said that it is of crucial importance that Serbia regains its strength today, stressing that this is why Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic must not give up.

"That's why Aleksandar Vucic must not give up. He is the only one who can restore Serbia's strength. He can, because that is what we in the RS expect, too. We want to see its strength, because we know that without Serbia's strength, Serbs are exposed. Just like under NATO bombs, now to some other kind," said Dodik.

The anniversary of the start of the NATO bombing, he pointed out, is one of those days that will never be forgotten.

"This is one of those days that, somehow, as the years pass, hurt more and more. They hurt because it was an injustice and because no one was ever held accountable for all those killed in the bombing. And that is almost something that follows our people, the court is where they are and where the crime against our Serb people begins," said Dodik.

He said that some wanted history to be forgotten and for the Serb people today to be grateful for their "intentions and operations."

"Everything seemed to be lost, and then Aleksandar Vucic, Toma Nikolic and their team of that time appeared and they said, 'this must not be forgotten' and that's why we are here this time as well, to mark the fact that NATO, a powerful monster, bombed the Serbs in the RS on two occasions first and after several years here in Serbia, and that NATO did it without hesitation, without valid international decisions," said Dodik.

NATO bombed the Serb people, he said, "mercilessly and for pleasure, not caring about the victims."
