Presidents Vucic and Putin to meet soon: Very important discussions to follows

Presidents of Russia and Serbia Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic will hold talks during the visit of the Serbian leader to Moscow on May 9, said Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Russia Maksim Oreshkin, who was visiting Serbia.

"This is a very important year - it marks the 80th anniversary of victory over fascism. In October last year, the liberation of Belgrade was celebrated here (October 1944 ), a big holiday. May symbolizes victory in the Great Patriotic War. We are very happy that the president of Serbia Vucic will be in Moscow, and of course he will also have a meeting and talks with the president of Russia," said Oreshkin after a meeting with Nenad Popovic, Serbia's miister without portfolio in charge of international economic cooperation.

On Saturday, Oreshkin started his visit to Serbia by laying wreaths at the Monument to the Liberators of Belgrade, where he was joined by Popovic and Russian Ambassador Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko. After that, negotiations between two delegations were held in the Government of Serbia.

According to Oreshkin, he and Popovic spoke in detail about the economic relations between Belgrade and Moscow.

"There are many important questions. I am sure that solutions will be found for all of them that will suit both Russia and Serbia - it cannot be otherwise. The most important thing is that there are many promising topics, new directions of cooperation. Everything is carefully considered, and I am sure that the necessary decisions for numerous projects will be made in the near future," stressed Oreshkin, according to Russian media.

He added that he was glad to be back on the Serbian land, which he said is sacred land for every Russian, and pointed out that due to the warm hospitality, brotherly connection is always felt both on the streets and during personal contacts.

A friendly match between football clubs Partizan Belgrade and CSKA Moscow was played in the Serbian capital during Oreshkin's visit over the weekend.
