18-year-old Vukasin Crncevic, seriously injured in collapse of Novi Sad railway canopy, dies

Vukasin Crncevic (18), who was seriously injured when the canopy collapsed at the railway station in Novi Sad last November, has died at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Belgrade, it has been confirmed for "Telegraf.rs".

Crncevic is the 16th victim of the accident that happened on November 1, 2024. The this is the official VMA statement about the death:

"The patient V.C. (born 2006), who was seriously injured during the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad and who, after receiving treatment at the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, was admitted to the Military Medical Academy on January 29, 2025, died on March 21, 2025 in this military medical institution.

Despite undertaking all the treatment measures and the maximum dedication of the staff of the VMA, the patient succumbed to complex injuries and resulting complications. We offer our deepest condolences to the family of V.C."
