Vucic speaks: "Invitation is coming. Soon!"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that Serbia "will be given back to honest people" and that the country is "fed up with those who have been terrorizing it for four months."

He also pointed out that we must do everything to avoid violence, and to stand up to those who are tearing down and destroying the country.

In a post on Instagram, Vucic stated that in the shortest possible time, everyone will be invited to show in a peaceful and dignified way, that they want a free Serbia.

"That we want to work, that we will not allow the lazy people to defeat the workers, not let them beat those who work hard and are fighting for Serbia. And be sure, neither courage nor anything else will be lacking. And even if there are a couple of thousand of us and no more than that, no one will be able to stop that seed of strength and resistance, the seed of freedom from growing, and in the end Serbia will win. Expect an invitation soon," Vucic said in a video posted on the Instagram account 'buducnostsrbijeav'.

He stressed that in the beginning (the protesters) spoke about some demands, but they were never interested in the demands, not even when those demands were fully met, that they said that society needed dialogue and conversation - but that in the end everything turned into ultimatums and orders to everyone else.

"They told us that institutions must be respected, they demolished all institutions, institutions no longer exist, they are introducing plenums, plenums of the Ljotic-Bolshevik type. They told us that they are against violence, the only thing they use is violence. They also told us that they are not interested in politics, in the end, they are only interested in brutal political thuggery," said Vucic.

The president added that he is saying all this at a time when every baker, hairdresser, restaurateur is suffering because of the problems caused over the previous four months.

"Because people don't know how to make ends meet for the first time in the last ten years. Because people are less and less sure how to achieve a better future for themselves and their children. Serbia is boiling, literally boiling, they alone don't see it," said Vucic.
