How dangerous Hungarian got caught with 22 kilos of drugs: Prosecution reveals details about airport arrest

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has launched an investigation against a citizen of Hungary, D.B. (24), on suspicion that on March 18, 2025, she illegally possessed and transported more than 22.4 kilograms of cannabis, via Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport, with the intent to later sell it.
The order to conduct an investigation charges the suspect with the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Distribution of Narcotic Drugs.
The suspect chose to remain silent during the hearing today before the acting public prosecutor, i.e. she exercised her legal right not to present a defense.
After the questioning, the prosecutor's office proposed to the judge for preliminary proceedings of the Higher Court in Belgrade to detain D.B. as a flight risk, as well as to prevent her from repeating the criminal offense in a short period of time.
There are grounds for suspicion that D.B. was carrying a total of 22,440.03 grams of the narcotic drug cannabis in two pink suitcases, each of which had a tracking tag and were connected to a GPS signal via a mobile phone.
Serbian Border Police Administration officers, in cooperation with the Customs, found 17 PVC packages containing the narcotic drug cannabis in one pink suitcase, and 28 more packages with the same content in another pink suitcase.
The passenger arrived in Belgrade from Bangkok, via Doha, and was arrested at the Nikola Tesla International as she was waiting to catch a flight to Tirana, Albania.
