Minister Dacic denies allegations that Serbian Interior Ministry has Vortex Ring Gun

Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has said that the ministry (MUP) does not own either the Vortex Ring Gun or the Vortex Cannon, as claimed by the NGO CRTA and its so-called sister NGO, Earshot.

The same goes for LRAD-1000Xi manufactured by the US company Genasys, and a similar weapon manufactured by Russia's Ruselectronics.

According to Dacic, these claims represent disgraceful lies that harm both the state of Serbia and its police.

"In order to disturb the public, we are faced, almost every hour, with new disinformation and manipulations, where one lie comes on the heels of another.

That is why the Ministry of the Interior is forced to once again deny a series of false claims, made this afternoon (Monday).

With full responsibility, as the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, I state that the MUP does not possess either the Vortex Ring Gun or the Vortex Cannon, as claimed by the NGO CRTA and its so-called international sister NGO, Earshot.

Likewise, the Ministry does not posses the LRAD-1000Xi manufactured by the US company Genasys, nor a similar weapon manufactured by Russia's Ruselectronics, as representatives of the opposition claim.

All of these are disgraceful lies harm both the state of Serbia and its police, who did their utmost to preserve peace and security during that gathering (on Saturday). I repeat once again, the Serbian police has never used unlawful tools in its history, including on March 15," said Minister Dacic.
