Vucic after visiting gendarme injured in front of RTS: "It's uncertain whether Lazar's eye can be saved"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said, after visiting a police officer who was seriously injured in an attack in front of the RTS broadcaster last night, that the attackers will be held accountable.
"Lazar Bacic was horribly injured. He has severe physical injuries that he is enduring bravely. We are talking about an experienced policeman who was in the most peaceful way escorting people inside, so that no one would hurt these 'plenum Bolsheviks' (reference to protesting students). He was the last in a group that passed because, as the deputy commander, he always lets his guys go ahead so that he could secure the column. They hit him in the eye with a knuckleduster. The question is whether his eye can be saved. His eye socket was broken. Imagine the family of Lazar Bacic. This is unbelievable to me. We knew that they would engage in violence," Vucic told Informer TV and added that the investigation is ongoing and that those responsible will be held to account.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic said previously that one member of the Gendarmerie was seriously injured in front of the RTS building, which the protesting students are holding under blockade. Dacic said that there was an "unannounced public meeting" in front of RTS and that three entrances were blocked. According to him, the conflict occurred when members of the Gendarmerie arrived on assignment.
A group of students blocked the entrances to RTS from Takovska and Aberdarova streets on Monday around 11 pm. According to posts on social networks, the blockade will last 22 hours, during which time employees will be able to leave the building, but apparently no one will be able to enter. According to Tanjug, students are blowing vuvuzelas and whistles and calling on citizens to join them.
