The First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Criminal Police Administration, and the Crime Suppression Service, ordered M.T. (40) to be detained for 48 hours on suspicion of endangering safety by threatening the life of Minister of Culture in the Government of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic.

"On March 10, the suspect M.T. was questioned about the circumstances of the criminal offense he was charged with and he fully confessed to the act. The suspect's defense attorney proposed that the public prosecutor and the defendant conclude an agreement to sentence the suspect to a prison sentence of 6 months and at the same time determine that this will not be carried out unless the convicted person commits a new criminal offense within 2 years.

After negotiations, the public prosecutor from the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade concluded a plea agreement with the suspect M T. in which it was proposed that the court find the defendant guilty of the crime of endangering safety, and that the defendant be sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment and at the same time determine that this will not be carried out unless the convicted person commits a new criminal offense within 4 years," the prosecution announced.

Bearing in mind that, according to the criminal complaint, the defendant M.T., during the commission of the criminal offense in addition to threats, curses and insults, also hit Minister Nikola Selakovic in the face and thereby inflicted minor bodily injuries, the prosecution considers that the defendant also committed this criminal offense, which is being prosecuted as part of a private lawsuit.
