Caretaker Prime Minister and leader of the ruling SNS party Milos Vucevic today strongly condemned the acts violence perpetrated in front of the Belgrade City Assembly.

Informer journalist Branka Lazic was attacked during the incident.

"This is unacceptable! Two days ago, they seriously injured three (National Assembly) deputies, one of whom was eight months pregnant. Today, they again physically attacked a woman - journalist Branka Lazic, who was just there doing her job. Bullies from the opposition! Bullies who every day claim to fight against violence, and to be in favor of a democratic and tolerant Serbia," Vucevic stated in a post on Instagram.

He added they are worse than the worst of vandals and thugs, along with "the self-appointed elite gathered around the Proclamation, who are silent and do not condemn violence against women."

"And it's not surprising because their ideologues are the ones who constantly call for the death of President Vucic, his loved ones, who threaten, lie, and spread hatred through Solak's media. They attack, hurt, insult and mistreat women just because those women hold different political views. I guess they're trying to make such violence against women seem normal and democratic?" asked Vucevic.

He stressed that this is how the oppositoin sees Serbia, too, as they try to seize power by force.

"We will never let them get away with it! SNS will always be in favor of the voice of the people, which does not want a Serbia of chaos and violence! A decent Serbia will win!," concluded Vucevic.
