Major arrest operation in Nis for corruption: Former mayor Dragana Sotirovski investigated

In the continuation of the anti-corruption operation, members of the UKP started searching and arresting suspects in several locations early this morning, acting on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in the city of Nis.
Telegraf.rs has learned that the work of the former mayor of Nis, Dragana Sotirovski, is being investigated in the continuation of the anti-corruption campaign - regarding the report of the State Audit Institution on public procurements that were carried out during her mandate.

The prosecution in Nis formed the case last September after the State Audit Institution established irregularities in the management of budget funds and in connection with the hiring of private companies Vodomonteri and Sim Puk Gradnja through the Headquarters for Emergency Situations.
According to unofficial information, the former mayor, against whom the Higher Prosecutor's Office in Nis launched an investigation, is the owner of a house in Greece.
