Petkovic: Rohde oversteps diplomatic bounds to assume role of Kurti's spokesman

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic has said that the German diplomat in Pristina, Jorn Rohde, by claiming that Belgrade "interfered in the Kosovo elections by promoting voting for the Serb List" for the umpteenth time exited the diplomatic bounds, and at least the declaratively proclaimed political neutrality., and put himself in the role of Albin Kurti's spokesperson, whose platitudes and misinformation he is repeating while ignoring the obvious facts.

"It is clear that Kurti is bothered by the convincing victory of the Serb List (in the Serb community) and the support of the Serb people it received in the recent elections, and that he would rather see his "batman" Nenad Rasic in the parliament, for whom he is trying to, in every possible dishonorable way, secure a parliamentary seat - but we are surprised that the German representative does not hide his favorites or his animosity towards the Serb List, which represents the will of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija," Petkovic pointed out in a statement.

He asked how it was that Rohde did not speak out against the Election Commission's manipulations and the fact that only the Serb votes are yet to be counted almost ten days after the voting, and how he did not see the previous night's rampage and provocations when Albanian flags were displayed in the center of Kosovska Mitrovica.

"Just as Mr. Rohde did not see it, he also did not want to see Albin Kurti's direct support for the so-called student protests in Belgrade, which he expressed in Zagreb on December 13, 2024, attacking official Belgrade, as Rohde is doing today. The German representative forgot to mention that support, which all the Pristina media were buzzing about," Petkovic pointed out, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced.

He added that did Rohde see and what really bothers him is that Belgrade supported the Serb List, the only party that fights for the interests of the Serb people in the area of Kosovo and Metohija and represents the umbilical cord between the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija and Belgrade.

"And we have never hide that support, just as we will continue to help the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija. Now it is clear who Mr. Rohde's favorites were in the recent elections, but by giving the biggest support to the Serb List, the Serbs said what they think of Pristina's favorites," Petkovic stressed.

The representative of Germany in Pristina, Jorn Rohde, previously accused Belgrade on the social network BlueSky of "interfering in the Kosovo elections by promoting votes for the Serb List."

Rohde also stated that Belgrade is "baselessly accusing Pristina of supporting the protests in Serbia."
