Police raid well-known weapons manufacturer in Kragujevac: Large operation carried out on prosecution's order

Acting on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, the Tax Police and the police raided a well-known company for production of weapons in Kragujevac, Telegraf.rs has learned.
This operation is the continuation of the fight against corruption in Serbia.
Members of the Tax Police and UKP, on the order of the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, as part of a large operation to detect and prosecute corruption-related crimes, entered more than 50 companies in different cities in Serbia this morning in order to check their operations.

At the moment, more than 50 companies are under scrutiny, and in the coming days even more firms throughout Serbia will be checked.
Kesic's restaurant checked
The police and the Tax Inspectorate, on the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, entered the restaurant Sava Nova in Belgrade Waterfront.
It is suspected that the de facto owner of the restaurant is Andreja Kesic, who previously owned a large number of hospitality businesses.
The police and the Tax Inspectorate are also checking the company Grass Garden, which does landscaping at Belgrade Waterfront.
There is no information yet on whether any arrests have been made.
These checks are being carried out as part of the fight against corruption, and the arrests have been ongoing since last Wednesday.
