Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke in Budapest on Monday to say that he is grateful to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for condemning an attempted "color revolution" in Serbia.

When asked by a journalist to comment on Lavrov's statement made during a joint press conference with his Serbian counterpart Marko Djuric, Vucic stated that the Russians know very well what such "revolutions" are like, and that now, he himself has learned about it very well.

"To joke a little, if I get to I will ask Viktor (Orban) who is the top publisher in Hungary, so I can publish a book (on the topic) not only in Serbia, but abroad as well. I will also make a deal with the Chinese, my brothers and friends, now also with the Hungarians. Let's see in how many countries around the world, but I think that in many countries it will be studied as a textbook on how to first pacify, and then defeat 'color revolutions' caused from the outside", added Vucic.

He said that he thinks it might serve as a guide for many freedom-loving countries that need to defend their sovereignty and independence.

Vucic also thanked Lavrov for the fact that just a day after our great holiday Sretenje (Serbia's statehood day), he officially confirmed that Russia will participate in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade.

"He requested a special place for the Russian pavilion. We are endlessly grateful to them for that, and they will be our extremely dear guests in 2027," Vucic stressed.

He also said that on Tuesday, he will have important meetings in Belgrade related to NIS (Petroleum Industry of Serbia).

Vucic was on a one-day visit to Budapest on Monday, where Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok presented him with the Hungarian Grand Cross of Order of Merit with a golden star on a collar.
