Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic has said that providing President Aleksandar Vucic's security is a task of national and state importance and that the citizens' concern about an incident involving a vehicle in which the president was traveling, when his safety could have been compromised is completely understandable and justified.

The vehicle in which the president traveled began to swerve after a tire burst, and then that wheel fell off.

The incident happened during the weekend on a local road while the president was traveling from one location to another during his tour of Banat, northern Serbia.

Vucic spoke after the incident and explained that it happened after he had visited Melenci and was on his way to Mokrin.
