Last night people went out in Kosovska Mitrovica to celebrate the Serb List winning all 10 seats reserved for Serbs in the assembly in Pristina.

Cars decorated with Serbian flags were driving through the central streets of the northern part of the town, while traditional Serbian songs could be heard on the main promenade, as Serbian flags were flying.

Three patrols of the so-called Kosovo police were located there.

Previously, the Serb List confirmed the election result.

"After such an extraordinary victory, and a tough battle, based on the votes counted in all areas of Kosovo and Metohija, the Serb List is the absolute winner of these elections (in the Serb community)," the party's leader, Zlatan Elek, said late on Sunday and added:

"All 10 mandates in the parliament in Pristina are in the hands of the Serb List and the Serb people. Preliminary data shows that we won close to 40,000 votes under these impossible conditions."
