Petkovic and Stanisavljevic urge internally displaced Serbs to vote in Kosovo and Metohija elections

The member of the Presidency of the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) and the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, and Council for Social Affairs, Population Policy, Refugees and Displaced Persons of the SNS Belgrade board Commissioner Natasa Stanisavljevic, spoke last night with internally displaced Serbs from the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija in Kraljevo and Vrnjacka Banja, and urged them to vote in the elections in the Province on February 9.

Petkovic and Stanisavljevic called on the internally displaced persons to respond to the appeal of their compatriots from Kosovo and Metohija and vote because every vote is important for the survival of the Serb people, a statement from the Office for Kosovo and Metohija said.

Petkovic stressed that the Serb List is a party of national importance and that it is the only legitimate representative of the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, that enjoys absolute support of President Aleksandar Vucic.

"In Kosovo and Metohija we have no right to divisions, because disunited we will be easy prey to those who do not want anything good for our Serbs in the southern province. That is why it is important to be united. It is important that the Serb List wins all 10 guaranteed seats (in the Pristina Assembly) because that is the only way they can fully represent the interests of the Serb people and be a decision-making factor," said Petkovic.

He noted that "at a time when others would like to divide us, it is essential to preserve unity, which is what our people in Kosovo and Metohija are very well aware of."

Stanisavljevic conveyed to the displaced Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija that it is important that everyone who can exercise their right to vote to does that.

"Our compatriots need your help because they suffer the terror from Pristina and Albin Kurti every day, and you, as displaced persons, can help them, help your Kosovo and Metohija," she said.
