President Vucic speaks with Von der Leyen: "We remain committed to speed up implementation of reform agenda"

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone on Tuesday with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen about the current situation in Serbia and the region, our EU path and the reform processes we are implementing.

"I stressed that we remain committed to accelerating the fulfillment of the reform agenda and harmonizing with the criteria of the European Union, which is the work we plan to complete by the end of 2026. I reiterated the expectation that member states will recognize our engagement and progress and enable Serbia to make the best use of the new momentum in the enlargement process, and the first step would be to give the green light for the opening of Cluster 3.

I informed the president of the European Commission about the progress we are making in the area of economic growth, alignment with the common foreign and security policy, in accordance with our national interests, and confirmed our principled position regarding maintaining peace, stability and cooperation in the region.
