SNS denies it is organizing rallies in support of Vucic on bridges in Novi Sad
The city board of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) resolutely denies the veracity of information that appeared on social networks about some kind of gathering of its members on the Novi Sad bridges on Saturday, February 1, in support of Aleksandar Vucic.
The Serbian Progressive Party is not organizing any gatherings, a statement said.
"This is pure misinformation, which was marketed with the extremely malicious aim of further inciting tensions and divisions in society.
And that is why we urge people in Novi Sad not to fall for lies and deception. The Serbian Progressive Party is dedicated to peace, stability and development of Novi Sad and Serbia.
The Serbian Progressive Party has never and will never organize gatherings that disrupt the lives of citizens, that prevent the normal flow of traffic and prevent residents of Novi Sad from carrying out their regular activities. The Serbian Progressive Party is not fighting to halt anything. The Serbian Progressive Party is fighting for progress. For development. For a better life for all citizens.
That is why Aleksandar Vucic has enormous support from the people. Those who spread lies, who block streets and bridges, who disrupt people's eveyday life, and are running away from an advisory referendum on impeachment of President Vucic, know this. And they are also running away from elections, because they know that the people trust Vucic and the SNS.
The Serbian Progressive Party will remain committed to peace, stability and continued development of Novi Sad," the statement said.
