Aleksandar Vucic receives letter of support from mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Jankovic
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today received a letter from the mayor of Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, Zoran Jankovic.
Jankovic stated that "in these moments, it is more important than ever to preserve peace and stability in Serbia," the presidential press service said.
"In these demanding and critical moments, when Serbia is facing numerous challenges, I want to express my sincere support and recognition of everything you have done for the development and stability of the state. Your leadership, determination and vision are the key to the progress that Serbia has achieved in the past years and I am convinced that this path must be continued. I am aware that the moments of uncertainty represent a challenge to every leader. But in these moments it is more important than ever to preserve peace and stability in Serbia. There is no future, no well-being, and no security for a people who believe in their homeland without that," Jankovic's letter reads.
He further calls on Vucic to "continue on his path as president and not allow pressure or attacks to disturb the direction he has set - the direction of a strong, independent and developed Serbia."
"The stability of the state is not just a political phrase - it is the foundation on which we build the future for all generations. Without it, there is no development, no peace, and no hope for a better tomorrow. People believe in you, they believe in the power of decisive and courageous leadership, which does not falter in the face of challenges, but overcomes them to their benefit. If I can help in any way, in any form - I am always at your disposal. May you not run out of strength and perseverance. Serbia needs you," the Ljubljana mayor's letter said.
