Vucic after tragedy in Washington: I was deeply shaken by news of tragic plane crash

After the news that a passenger plane carrying 60 passengers and four crew crashed while landing in Washington, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic offered his condolences in a post on X.

"I was deeply shaken by the news of the tragic plane crash near Washington, which claimed many lives. On my own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Serbia, I offer my condolences to the families of the victims, to US President Donald Trump and to the American people, while I wish those injured a speedy and successful recovery. Any loss of life, regardless of the circumstances, leaves an indelible mark in the hearts of families, and for every country it represents the biggest loss," he wrote.

Vucic added that the citizens of Serbia deeply understand the suffering caused by such tragedies and share in the sadness in these difficult moments.

"I am convinced that in your strength, the families of the victims will find some comfort after the tragedy that befell your country. May the victims rest in peace," wrote Vucic.
