Petkovic: Responsibility that Vucevic demonstrated is something Kurti will never understand

The director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said today that the prime minister of the provisional institutions of Pristina, Albin Kurti, cannot and will not understand the meaning of responsibility and democratic values, which PM Milos Vucevic demonstrated with his decision (to resign).

This is how he reacted to Kurti's statement that while he is at the helm of the government in Pristina, prime ministers in Belgrade are resigning, and added that he understood very well why Kurti supports opposition protests in Belgrade and why President Aleksandar Vucic, together with his closest associates and the Serb List, which Kurti tried to ban from participating in elections, bother him the most.

"Kurti's attacks on Milos Vucevic and Serbia show who is his main enemy. Kurti supports the protests because he hopes in vain that violence and the street can lead to a change of government in Belgrade, and therefore to the recognition of so-called Kosovo," he said.

Petkovic also stressed that he has bad news for Kurti - while Vucic is president, Belgrade will never recognize so-called independent Kosovo and that Kurti can only dream about that, just as he dreams about "greater Albania" whose flags he waves so passionately during his rallies, but that's as far as that goes.

"Now it is clear why Kurti is not attacking (opposition figures) Dragan Djilas, Marinika Tepic, Milos Jovanovic, or Borko Stefanovic and why he supports the protests, while simultaneously shooting, arresting, beating and expelling Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija," concluded Petkovic.
