Do you know what the highs will be today? But rain is coming: Showers are expected in these parts of Serbia
Serbia is currently experiencing spring-like weather. The maximum temperature reached 20 degrees in Belgrade yesterday. The nights are also warmer, the minimum temperature in Belgrade was 12 degrees.
A sunny and very warm day, for the end of January, is ahead of us. The highs will range from 15 to 20° Celsius, while Belgrade will be the warmest European capital today with 20 degrees.
Strong south and southwest winds will blow. The wind will produce the Foehn effect. In addition to Belgrade, it will be the warmest today in Podrinje, Macva and the Kolubara District.
Otherwise, the unseasonably warm weather is the result of a very strong cyclone from the west of Europe and the Atlantic, which in its front part causes very pronounced southerly currents, and an additional influx of very warm air mass from the north of Africa across the Mediterranean.
It is this cyclone that will cause an increase in cloudiness in the afternoon, and already during the evening in the north of Serbia, rain and showers are expected, especially in the area of the province of Vojvodina. Rain and showers will also arrive to Belgrade during the evening.
During the rest of the evening and the night, this cloudy zone with rain will move towards eastern parts of Serbia.
It will remain dry elsewhere in the country.
Very warm weather is expected until Friday. The weekend will be cooler, so the beginning of February will bring maximum temperatures of 5 to 10°C.
