Telegraf learns: Expert examination ordered on car driven by thug Marko who ran over young woman in Belgrade

By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, an expert examination was ordered on a Ford driven by Marko P. (38) with which he ran over 20-year-old S.P. in Ruzveltova Street in Belgrade, Telegraf.rs has learned.

The young woman who was injured yesterday was conscious when she was taken to the hospital, she was communicative and in a stable general condition, the Clinical Center of Serbia announced.

The police also detained the people who were in the car with the suspect.

The investigation is being conducted by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

Dacic reacts

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said that within 10 minutes yesterday, members of the police in Belgrade found the vehicle that had hit and knocked down a 20-year-old woman.

"Members of the police in Belgrade act professionally and in accordance with the law, and they found the vehicle within 10 minutes after it had left the scene in the direction of the Seminary. In less than 10 minutes, they found the Ford Focus that the suspect had abandoned in Ljube Didica Street.

Five minutes after that, and 15 minutes after the event, the police found the driver of the Ford and two other people who were in the vehicle with him at the tine of the accident, one of whom is a minor.

They were immediately brought to a police station, the driver M.P. (38) was arrested and detained and will be immediately handed over for further proceedings to the competent prosecutor, who qualified the crime as aggravated attempted murder.

The person who is suspected of having committed this criminal offense was previously registered as a perpetrator of various criminal offenses and was convicted seven times.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs once again calls on everyone to comply with the Law on Public Gatherings and the Law on Traffic Safety," said Minister Dacic.
