Dodik congratulates Christmas and RS Day: "Let's show unity, faith and tradition"

President of the Serb Republic (RS) Milorad Dodik has congratulated Orthodox Christmas, January 7, and RS Day, January 9, and called on everyone to show commitment to unity, faith and tradition.

"I congratulate all the good people who love the Serb Republic on the RS Day. And of course before that I congratulate Christmas, which is one of the most beautiful days of the year," said Dodik in a video message published on X.

With wishes for people to spend Christmas in good health and family happiness, Dodik pointed out that RS highly values the Serbian Orthodox Church.

"In previous years, we built over 1,000 Serbian Orthodox churches and a dozen monasteries. We did it without hesitation, because we know what the Orthodox faith means to the Serb nation. That's why I will greet everyone with the traditional - Peace of God, Christ is born," said Dodik, who is still recovering at home after a surgery he had in Belgrade.
