President Aleksandar Vucic says that Serbia must maintain its independence in decision-making and expressed optimism regarding the changes he expects on the world stage after January 2025.

Vucic was on TV Pink when he stressed the importance of a freedom-loving approach and support for leaders who can change the course of global relations.

"Serbia must be making decisions independently, rather than anyone else doing it on our behalf. That's why we have great hope for what Elon Musk is doing. I also believe in Donald Trump and that he will change many things. As I heard, and yesterday and today I was in touch with important people from the future US administration, what we will see after January 20 will be something never seen in the world before," said Vucic.

The president revealed that his contacts with close associates of Donald Trump gave him hope for changes that, he believes, will be beneficial not only for Serbia but also for the whole world.

"They told me that the decisions are mostly ready. I believe that on January 21, Trump will sign 200 executive orders that will change half the world. No more wasting money on bringing down those the deep state dislikes," said Vucic.

He emphasized that he believes in the fairness and consistency of the people from the incoming US administration.

"When I talk to people close to Trump, they say what is just and fair, even when it is not in the interest of their country. That gives me hope that he will succeed in his intentions," concluded Vucic, adding that he is ready for Serbia to maintain its position as a free and independent state in a rapidly changing world.
