Two officials of Municipality of Gracanica in Kosovo and Metohija detained

The president of the municipality of Gracanica, Ljiljana Subaric, says that after today's raid, the so-called Kosovo police and the Directorate for Combating Economic Crime detained two officials in the building of the municipalityin Gracanica, who work in the cadastre department of this local self-government.

They are suspected of abuse of official position and corruption.

Subaric stressed that this investigation and arrest did not call into question the work of the municipal leadership, nor the cadastre department.

"It is about the self-initiated work of certain officials, so they have now been detained and an investigation will be conducted. We would not like to speculate about further proceedings, when we get detailed information, you will be informed," said Subaric.

She stated that Z.M. and V.S. were detained.

Members of the so-called Kosovo police today raided the municipal building in Gracanica, which functions in the system of provisional Pristina institutions, where they detained two people on suspicion of corruption and took them to Pristina for questioning.

The entrance to the municipal building was not blocked, and the action was monitored by Kfor members.
