Serb List reacts after its appeal got accepted: We complied with all legal election procedures
The Serb List has announced that the appeal the party lodged against what it says was an illegal decision to prevent it from participation in the elections in Kosovo and Metohija has been accepted.
"After the attempt of Albin Kurti and his henchmen to illegally prevent the participation of the Serb List in the elections on February 9 via the Central Election Commission, we inform the public that the appeal against the illegal decision submitted by our legal team to the Election Panel for Appeals and Petitions has been accepted," the Serb List said.
"This speaks in favor of our claim made from the beginning that the Serb List had complied with all legal election procedures and that the attempt to eliminate the Serb List from the electoral process and the electoral engineering were carried out with the aim of favoritizing Kurti's 'acceptable' Serbs, as well as that everything was done directly on his orders and was politically motivated."
"The Commission is under obligation to act according to the decision of the Election Panel for Appeals and Petitions and certify the Serb List so that it can participate in the elections, and now it remains to be seen whether the Commission will continue to violate the law and its own regulations and act under direct political pressure from the authorities in Pristina," the party said.
