Serbia is under the influence of a strong cyclone from the Adriatic, which brought heavy rain and snow.

At this time, it is snowing in the northern and western Backa, but also in parts of Srem, while the snow has completely covered Mt. Fruska Gora, in Serbia's northern province of Vojvodina.

Snow is falling at a very high intensity, having already formed a cover ten centimeters deep, and it is also stickikg to the road surface.

Iriski Venac is therefore closed to freight traffic. Passenger vehicles can still use this road.

Winter road service crews are on the ground, but the large amount of snow makes their work difficult.

Therefore, due to the very bad condition and slippery roads freight vechiles cannot use Iriski Venac, while winter equipment is mandatory for other vehicles.

Heavy snow will continue to fall until the end of the day, as well as tomorrow, with more than 30 centimeters expected on Fruska Gora.

Precipitation is expected to weaken from Wednesday, with gradual stabilization from Thursday, but cold days are expected starting on Friday, with dry weather and temperatures below 0° Celsius.
