Serbian Deputy PM Vulin visiting China: President Xi Jinping wishes success to President Vucic

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, who is on an official visit to the People's Republic of China, has met with Secretary for Political and Legal Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Wenqing.

Chen asked Vulin to convey Chinese President Xi Jinping's greetings and wishes for good health and success to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and, congratulated his "old friend" Aleksandar Vulin on becoming Serbia's deputy PM.

Vulin and Chen agreed that Serbia and China are bound by traditional, steely friendship and a common future, as well as that bilateral cooperation between the two countries is at a historic level thanks to the personal friendship between President Aleksandar Vucic and Xi Jinping.

The willingness of Serbia and China to work on strengthening their strategic partnership was highlighted.

Vulin and Chen, who is China's top security official, also discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of security, as well as the exchange of experiences in the fight against "color revolutions."

Vulin said that President Aleksandar Vucic leads an independent and freedom-loving policy, which is why the West is trying to destabilize the Republic of Serbia and asked Chen to convey brotherly greetings of the president of Serbia to President Xi.

He also thanked China for the support it provides to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia and the strong support for our country in international institutions and pointed out that Serbia firmly supports the integrity and the One China policy.

The interlocutors also discussed the current political and security situation in the world.

The meeting was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, which is intended for receptions of top state officials.
